In 1997, FOSCO (Service Company to Foreign Missions), launched an exciting initiative to develop the existing childcare and kindergarten services of Ho Chi Minh City and to provide a comprehensive, holistic, English immersion education option for children from 3 years of age. The Early Childhood and Kindergarten sections of our School have been operating since 1997 with only two classes running in the first year.
From there, the School naturally grew and expanded over the years, and further developed an internationally aligned Elementary School curriculum for children up to 10 years of age. F.I.S. now provides a high standard of ‘skills-based, thematically structured’, international education for Pre-School, Kindergarten, and Grades 1 to 6, with a total of 10 classes offered at present, and a recorded milestone of 210 students enrolled in the 2009-2010 school year.
The Sai Gon Giai Phong Newspaper and Mam Yeu Magazine recently published that: “F.I.S. has been evaluated by the Service of Education as one of the most quality International Schools in Ho Chi Minh City. The state owned company of FOSCO (Service Company to Foreign Missions) has funded the school since 1997 and continues to do so today.
