Bookworm

A comfortable and cosy bookstore and cafe, Hanoi's Bookworm caters to the literary minded with their vast selection of volumes. Initially a book exchange centre for Hanoi's expatriates, the store has since swelled to include over 10,000 titles. Staff is well-trained, fluent in English and willing to help with any of your requests regarding new reading material. Bookworm supports several charitable organizations in and around Hanoi including Xa Me Humanitarian Program and Blue Dragon Children's Foundation, and provides scholarships to Hanoi Agriculture University for students from poor rural backgrounds. Be sure to stop by their adjacent cafe for delicious coffee and light snacks.

A wide swath of reading material is on offer at Bookworm in Hanoi including general fiction, crime fiction, thriller, biography, romance, travel, children's books and more. In addition, you'll find Vietnamese literature and culture titles. Bookworm features author talks, book launches and an art space along with occasional promotional events. Currently, Bookworm's Hanoi clientele includes 30% Vietnamese, 40% foreigners and 30% travellers.
