Spoilt for Choice at Saigon Café Restaurant

Spread over the large, open space of Sheraton Saigon’s first floor and overlooking the beautiful Dong Khoi street, the truly special feature of Saigon Café is its seven open cooking stations. For Women’s Day, Saigon Café Restaurant will treat Saigon’s ladies to an opulent selection of some of the city’s finest delicacies.

Sheraton Saigon

On 8 March you’ll be able to watch your savoury plate of pasta or sweet stack of crepes be prepared in front of your eyes while enjoying the free flow of Saigon Café’s delicious house wine. But there’s more – much more. You’re in the mood for seafood? Then have some fresh oysters with salmon caviar or a baby lobster cooked to order. Or maybe you’re craving some Japanese fare? Then fill your plate with Saigon Café’s homemade sushi and sashimi. And if meat is on your mind, you’re sure to enjoy the authentic foie gras or grilled lamb chop, served with onion chutney.

A true feast of tastes customises each and every experience. Saigon Café’s artful chefs will tailor every dish to the diner's desire with a live cooking performance to make this the most memorable International Women’s Day you’ve ever had.

And just when you feel like you really can’t eat any more, it’s time for dessert. The sweet corner will offer a wide range of pralines as well as seasonal fruits and freshly baked cakes. However, be sure to leave some room for the Teppanyaki ice cream bar, which will be accompanied with a wide choice of toppings. Hungry yet?

Seventh Heaven at Li Bai Restaurant

Ladies, if you want to celebrate women with an excellent Chinese dish, Li Bai Restaurant is the place for you. And by “an excellent Chinese dish”, we actually mean seven excellent courses. This set menu has so many courses, you might just have to bring someone along to help you finish them all.

Sheraton Saigon

You’ll start off with a combination of baked oyster and a crispy cheese prawn with a mayonnaise salad, followed by pumpkin soup with seafood, lobster with Asian sauce, braised abalone with oyster sauce, wok-fried broccoli and cauliflower, and fried rice “Khao Phat” style. The cherry on the cake? Definitely the chilled sago with mango cream and pomelo.

This menu is perfect for a romantic lunch or dinner. Li Bai Restaurant’s contemporary and classy interior is the cosy kind of venue perfect for a quiet tete-a-tete away from the busy streets of Saigon.

While it’s the most expensive option at Sheraton Saigon, it’s also the most luxurious of the hotel’s in-house restaurants. This Women’s Day, the set menu at Level 23 Signature Restaurant will live up to this reputation.

On 8 March diners will enjoy four styles of Canadian oysters, prawn consommé and dumplings, steamed cod fish with vegetables and ginger soy sauce, baked lobster with Asian pepper sauce, charcoal-grilled veal chops and baked cheesecake with raspberries and chocolate ice cream to finish things up.

Of course, this decadent meal wouldn’t be complete without a complementary glass of the restaurant’s superb house wine.

If you need one more reason to spend Woman’s Day at Level 23, keep in mind that this restaurant is just mere metres away from Sheraton Saigon’s official party location: Level 23 Nightspot & Wine Bar (see below).
