Historical Excursion - Cu Chi Tunnels & Cao Dai Temple
7h00 - Begin with a trip to the Cu Chi Tunnels. The tunnel system stretched over 200 km from Saigon to the Vietnamese-Cambodian border and is three levels deep. Today, the remaining tunnels have become major tourist attraction, giving the visitors a unique experience and a feel of what underground life during the Vietnam War must have been like. The Cu Chi Tunnels are arguably the most famous tourist attraction that Vietnam has to offer as it played such an important role in the Vietnam War.
11h00 - continue our drive to Tay Ninh Province, a southern province near the Vietnamese- Cambodian border. It is home of the unique Cao Dai sect, whose patron saints include Sun Yat-Sen, Victor Hugo and Nguyen Binh Khiem. The religion is a hybrid of Buddhism, Taoism, Confucianism, and Christianity. Lunch will be served before or after visiting Cao Dai Temple.
