The third restaurant of famed chef Duc opened in 2013, and is a celebration of Vietnamese home cooking. It features age-old recipes passed down through generations - the traditional southern Vietnamese food that Duc remembers fondly, including his mother's recipes. Try the red snapper with lemongrass. Despite the name, Mai Fish also does great duck curries and arguably the best cao lau in town.
The restaurant is a recreation of a traditional Vietnamese home. If you enter from the street (not river) side, you walk past the kitchen where you can watch the dishes being prepared and maybe see Duc in action if he is not cooking at one of his other restaurants, Mango Mango or Mango Rooms.
