Hoi An Walking & Cooking class

8:00 am

You are picked up at Meeting point Google Café, No 10 Phan Chu Trinh Street, Hoi An (Corner of Phan Chu Trinh St and Nguyen Hue St) at 14:00pm – 14:30pm for a walking tour of the Ancient Town of Hoi An. 

Your local guide takes you through the narrow winding streets of this picturesque and atmospheric town where there is an opportunity to learn more about the complex historical and cultural significance of this unique World Heritage Listed crossroads. You will see the various Chinese Assembly Halls, Ancestral Homes, the Japanese Covered Bridge, and the well-preserved Pagodas spread throughout the town. You will also have the chance to visit the Humanity Center of Reaching Out, a local charity that cares for disable children, where you can chat with the kids and shop for handmade souvenirs.  

10:00 am

After the walking tour, you arrive at a local family-run restaurant for a entertaining cooking class. The chef will first run through the menu, a mouthwatering selection of local dishes, and then take you for a visit to the local market where we learn about Vietnamese food ingredients and how to choose the freshest produce.  Once back at the restaurant, the chef will teach you how to cook these special delicacies and give you the skills to take home to impress your friends.  Following our lesson we sit down to a feast, a welcome reward for our time spent in the kitchen preparing. 

12:00 pm

At the end of the trip you are free to continue exploring the charms of old Hoi An.
