Sunset is the best time to discover Hoi An’s old town and its unique cuisine. Escaping the midday heat allows us a comfortable way to explore while we sample some of the best street food you will ever taste.
We start our walking tour at a bustling local café where your meet your expert English-speaking local guide. The first stop of our stroll is at a local bakery to try the famous Banh Mi bread. Next we join the locals at a small eatery, sitting on the ubiquitous small plastic chairs as wesample hot and crunchy Banh Can crackers.
After visit the central market, Passing deeper through the maze of tiny alleys, we visit one of our favourite secret restaurant spots to try out two of Hoi An’s most famed specialities -deep-fried wonton and white rose. Next we stop at Cham’s Bale, a 1000 year old well where the plentiful water supply is clean and fresh all year round.
Our feast continues at a vegetarian restaurant where a buffet of fresh foodawaits. Just remember to keep space for your next stop where we sample some further local treats, including a Banh Dap and mussel salad, before heading to a local home for dessert.
Our trip finishes at a local cafe by the Japanese covered bridge – a perfect spot to conclude our culinary adventure with a Vietnamese coffee or a beer while taking in the gentle pace of this incredible World Heritage listed town. At the end of the trip you are free to continue exploring the area or your guide will assist you with directions or a taxi back to your hotel.
