There are now three carriers offering domestic flights in Vietnam. The national carrier is Vietnam Airlines, but Jetstar Pacific Airlines operates locally. And the latest airline is Vietjet Air, who offers domestic flights from 25 December 2012. Along with 3 current domestic flights from Hanoi, HCMC and Danang, there will be another direct flight from Hai Phong to Cam Ranh, starting from November 2015.
Vietnam Airlines has launched Vietnamese coastal city Nha Trang's first international route to Moscow, Russia with two flights per week.
The Russian airline Transaero launched a direct air route connecting Domodedovo in Moscow with Cam Ranh in Khanh Hoa on November 1, 2014 to serve the traveling demands of Russian visitors to Vietnam. The route is operated with 10 days/ 1 trip frequency, using Boeing 767-300 aircraft. Each flight will carry 200 passengers.
As of September 2015, Khanh Hoa province has received more than 679,533 foreign tourists, including over 149,115 Russian visitors, a year-on-year decrease of 10%.
